How To: See Only Emails with Attachments Using This Secret iPhone Mail Trick
If you get a ton of emails each day, your mailbox probably has thousands of unread messages, and that annoying badge icon will keep reminding you of it. Fortunately, iOS comes with some tools to help you bring some sense of order to that chaotic mailbox of yours.One such tool will help you locate all of the emails that have attachments, which can really help when figuring out how to clean up your inbox. The feature is tucked away (and not in your Settings), but it's fairly easy to access on any iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, as you'll see below.

Step 1: Open Up MailOpen up that Mail app of yours with thousands of unread emails.

Step 2: Go to MailboxesHead to your main "Mailboxes" view if you're not there already, then select the "Edit" option in the top right.

Step 3: Select AttachmentsIn this view, you can see all of the options that you can add or take away from the main Mailboxes view in the Mail app. In our case, we want "Attachments," so tick that and select "Done" the top tight.

Step 4: View Attachments Only!After pressing "Done," you should be automatically redirected to the Mailboxes view where you'll see your new "Attachments" option. It may not have a number of unread emails next to it just yet since you just added the option to your list, but give it some time and it will. If you end up using this new option a lot, you can go back into the "Edit" view and rearrange it in the list so that it shows up higher in the Mailboxes view. And if for any reason you don't want this option anymore, just go back into "Edit" and deselect the "Attachments" option.Having a central hub for emails with attachments can definitely be a massive timesaver. I know it is for me.

There's an Easier Way to Search for Attachments in iOS 10In the updated Mail app for iOS 10, the process above still works for seeing emails with attachments only, but there's a few additional features that lets you find attachments in individual searches. First, you can start a regular search, which will present you with some default options before you start typing, one of which includes "Messages with Attachments."Don't Miss: The Coolest iOS 10 Features You Didn't Know About Second, you can simply hit the new Filter button at the bottom of a folder, tap on "Filtered by" to the right of it, then toggle on "Only Mail with Attachments."

Incorporating features such as CarPlay, UI enhancements such as the new call screen, and several bug fixes, iOS 7.1 was the first major update to Apple's operating system since iOS 7 was released in June of last year.Now Apple has released a seemingly small update in the form of iOS 7.1.1, which contains several bug fixes—including one for a major security bug.

Another Apple Security Flaw?!Just a couple of months ago, Apple issued an iOS 7.0.6 update in order to fix a security issue that could potentially allow hackers to steal usernames/passwords, read through your emails, and collect other private information. Much like the Heartbleed bug that sent widespread panic across the internet, this iOS bug allowed hackers to capture any information being sent through SSL—which is meant to secure your information when it's sent from your device to any server. All they had to do was create a program that masked itself as "trusted" and collect information through a method known as man-in-the-middle attacks.Now, Apple is once again dealing with another vulnerability and they've been pretty hush about disclosing information, instead masking this most recent update as mostly "bug fixes". In this bug, hackers have the ability to bypass HTTPS encryption protections and monitor sensitive traffic being sent and received by any vulnerable devices. Working as a man-in-the-middle attack as well, the bug abuses the "triple handshake", which is used to secure connections and authenticate users. With this "triple handshake" attack, hackers can create two connections which have the same encryption keys and handshake. They then insert their own information into one connection and rewire it so that the private information may be forwarded between the victim and themselves, back and forth. Regardless, it's still a major flaw, especially because the applications susceptible are mostly government and business apps.If you're still running iOS 7.1 on your Apple device, you should update to iOS 7.1.1 immediately, in order to patch this most current security vulnerability.

According to early Twitter posts, Touch ID recognition is now much faster than before.
Other Bug Fixes and UpdatesIn addition, the bug fixes include a previous problem with keyboard responsiveness—dealing with the Bluetooth keyboard whenever the VoiceOver feature was enabled.Finally, the update also includes support for new top-level domains like .camera and .photo in Safari, which probably hasn't been a big issue for most of you just yet, but it's a good step in the right direction considering the amount of top-level domains being created lately.

Google updates the Play Store periodically, but the changes are usually subtle. A recent server-side update, however, is shaking things up quite a bit.In past versions, app installation pages have had images or videos at the top of the page to give app developers a chance to set themselves apart. The new redesign, which appears to be rolling out to only a limited set of users for the time being, makes these pages a lot more uniform. (1) Old interface. (2) New redesign. Interestingly, app listings now display information differently depending on whether or not you've installed the app. Before you install an application, videos, screenshots, app descriptions, and user reviews are at the top. But after you've installed the app, the "What's New" section comes first, followed by a card inviting you to rate the app and developer contact info. (1) New design before installing an app. (2) New design after installing an app. This "reactive" design attempts to highlight the information you might need at a given time. Before installing an app, you'll be able to read up on it and view screenshots. After installing the app, it's now easier to see changelogs, rate the app, or contact the developer if you have any issues. Instead of the visually-rich media headers of past Play Store revisions, it's now a plain white bar with a search button, back arrow, and overflow menu. The "Install" button is significantly bigger now as well, perhaps in an attempt to draw your eye and get you to pull the trigger on installing the app.In all, it's a fairly radical redesign as far as these things go. There's no word on when this new design will hit the masses, but it appears to be a server-side update, so it's just a matter of waiting.
