I listen to Pandora as I slowly drift off to sleep, so why not have the popular music app wake me up as well? Pandora only recently introduced the Alarm Clock feature on iOS, and now they've brought that same feature to Android—only it's better. Please enable JavaScript to watch this video.
Android users have more of a "set it and forget it" model, like it should be, whereas iPhone users need to stay plugged in and have their screen on (which is ridiculous).If you don't already have Pandora, you can download it from Google Play. Those that already have it should see the alarm feature with the most recent update. The setup is super easy. Open up Pandora and select whatever station you want. Once in a station, hit the menu icon (three horizontal lines) located in the top right-hand corner. This will bring up the side menu. In the side menu, look near the bottom and you will see the new Alarm Clock option under Clock. Tap on this and you can begin setting up your radio alarm. You can set up the time, repeat, snooze interval, volume, and of course, the station. Once you have your time and station set, hit save and your alarm is ready to go.Waking up to something new everyday helps keep your mornings fresh instead of listening to the same old song or sound time and time again. If you're looking to customize your Android beyond its stock options, things can get confusing quickly. One of the best places to get into developer mode is the XDA forums.XDA is home to hundreds of independent Android developers, all eager to showcase their wares. Everything from the latest apps, to news, wallpapers, and Xposed modules, which allow rooted devices to install mods and hacks in a no-brainer way, can be found on this massive forum, so it's a great source for all things Android.But XDA isn't what you would call the most user-friendly place on the internet. Luckily, though, XDA has just released a new user-friendly beta app that lets you easily access all of its content.

Step 1: Install XDA LabsThe new app that makes it incredibly easy to download the latest apps, wallpapers, and Xposed modules is called XDA Labs. As of this writing, XDA Labs is not available on the Google Play Store, which means you'll need to have "Unknown sources" enabled in your phone's security settings to install it. Beyond that, just head to the link below from your Android device to download a copy of the APK installer file, then simply sideload the app.Download XDA Labs (.apk)

Step 2: Sign in or Create an AccountWhen you first launch XDA Labs, you'll be asked to sign into an account. Either log in with an existing XDA account or tap the G+ button to sign in with Google+, or tap the "Register" button to create a new account. Once you've taken care of that, XDA Labs will inform you of its analytics policy, so tap "Continue" here to finish setup.

Step 3: Browse Android Development NewsWhen you make it to the app's main screen, the side navigation menu will already be open, so head to the "XDA Labs" section to see all of the interesting stuff. From here, the News tab will show you articles about Android development, which can often be a good way to learn about cool new concepts.

Step 4: Browse & Install the Latest AppsNext, the Apps tab is probably the one you're most interested in. By default, this displays a list of all the latest apps that have been uploaded to the XDA DevDB, so simply scroll through or use the search function to find something interesting.Once you've selected an app from this list, you'll see an overview page with the app's description, screenshots, and user reviews. From here, if you'd like to install the app in question, tap the circular download button, then follow the prompts.

Step 5: Install Xposed Modules (Root & Xposed Required)From here, the Xposed tab is where you'll find all of the latest modules. To utilize this feature, you'll of course need to be rooted with the Xposed Framework installed, but beyond that, simply tap "Continue" on the pop-up, then hit "Grant" on the Superuser access request. Once you've taken care of that, the Xposed tab functions exactly like the Apps tab, so simply browse through the available modules, and if anything interests you, the overview page will provide more information and allow you to download the module using the floating action button.

Step 6: Download & Apply WallpapersFinally, the Wallpapers tab is home to many awesome home screen background images. When you see something you like, just select it to view it in full screen, then tap the floating action button in the bottom-right corner to automatically set the image as your default wallpaper. When you accidentally close out of an important tab on your iPhone, Safari's "Recently Closed Tabs" list really comes in handy. However, when it comes time to clear the list, things get a bit complicated. There's no "Delete" or "Erase" button on this page, but don't let that fool you — there are three easy ways to clear your recently closed tabs list.Keep in mind that these steps will clear your list, so it will be irreversible. You need to make sure no tabs in the pile are important because once you go through with it, you won't be able to open that tab again. Method 3: Clear Your Search HistoryClearing your history not only covers your web-browsing tracks, it also purges your list of recently closed tabs.To clear your history in Safari, tap the book icon in the bottom menu bar. Then, tap the clock icon to access your History page.Next, tap "Clear," then select any of the four time ranges offered. After a certain period of time, Safari flushes the list without your consent or knowledge. While the above steps are great for manually erasing your recently closed tabs list, know that your tabs do get erased periodically.It's very difficult to test how long Safari takes in between deletions, and Apple does not appear to share the data publicly. However, from my experience, Safari will erase my recently closed tabs overnight, so these tabs must only be safe for a handful of hours. As I mentioned earlier, this mod has the ability to tweak a few different aspects of your phone's UI, not just the Quick Settings, so you'll see several different options here.The first batch of options under the NavBar/StatusBar header are for shrinking the on-screen navigation buttons and the status bar at the top of your screen, and they're pretty straightforward—the smaller the number you select, the smaller these bars will be after applying the mod. However, if you don't want to use these options, just don't select any of them, and your status and navigation bars will be kept at their stock heights.But on to the meat of the matter. To add an extra column of Quick Settings tiles, scroll down to the SystemUI Mods section, then select either "NavBar+Brightness+4QS" or "NavBar+Brightness+4QS+BatteryMod." The first option will simply add a fourth column of Quick Settings tiles and adjust the brightness slider to fit, while the second option will do the same, plus add battery percentage text to the top of your pull-down menu. Once you've chosen your options, tap "Next," then press "OK." Within a few seconds, the mod will be applied, and you'll be redirected back into TWRP recovery, where you should press "Reboot System" to finalize your work.
