How To: Turn Any Magazine into an iPhone Stereo Sound Dock
Coca-Cola has unleashed a brilliant marketing campaign to celebrate the one year anniversary of their online Coca-Cola.FM radio in South America. In the latest issue of the popular Brazilian magazine, Capricho, the Coca-Cola advertisement literally turns the magazine into an iPhone amplifier. Attached on top of the real cover, the advert has two precisely placed flaps on the back page. Simply roll up the magazine, secure the flaps, then pop in your iPhone. There doesn't seem to be any template from Coca-Cola anywhere, but it's really not that hard to make. Just grab any old magazine off the shelf and place two iPhone-sized flaps on the back cover using scissors or a knife. They should look similar to this: I made this one in like two seconds for my iPhone 4 (my iPhone 5 did not arrive yet). Surprisingly, it actually worked pretty good. My music was a lot louder. But the magazine didn't last long because the pressure was too much for the slits. Try using a mag with a thick cover and maybe less pages so that the expanding force won't be an issue. Tape will also help.Oh, and you'll probably need something to prop it up with. I have a Bose Sound Dock, and the remote no longer works for volume, changing songs, anything. I have followed the manual's suggestions and changed the battery on the remote, unplugged and replugged in the system, etc. I've used several different iPods and remotes, but nothing works. Any thoughts?

If however you are after the best possible audio quality into your stereo, equivalent to or better than a CD player, then can buy a "dock" for your iPhone. Apple sell iPod and iPhone docks for the new lightning connecto here , but for older iPods that don't have a lightning connector, Apple don't sell this product any more.

It's pretty cool. It was pretty pricy, but it works well. I also ended up getting the charge converter as well. So I have the charge converter plugged into my car and the dock extender plugged into that. I plug my iPhone 4 into the dock extended and it charges and I can play music from my iPhone 4 to through the car stereo.
iPhone 4 would not play music through the Bose dock so I used a 3.5mm stereo jack "from headphone" lead that plugged into the back of dock with a 3.5mm jack and bingo, I had sound through the Bose dock.
