With summer in full swing, these Snapchat lenses are as hot as ever. With people celebrating the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Snapchat contests that earn could earn you a free ride to Comic Con, and the everyday innovation that comes out of Lens Studio, there's something for everyone here this week.If you're not experienced with custom lenses, just know that these aren't the kind that you can find by browsing the carousel built into Snapchat. If you want them, you'll need to tap a link or Scan a Snapcode, and don't forget to share those codes and links with your friends if any of these tickle your fancy.Because everything here is made using Lens Studio, they're all lenses. On occasion, some of these creations will behave more like filters — however, that isn't the case for this week. 2. SupermanExpect to see a lot of DC-themed lenses floating around due to the DC Super Heroes Competition, where the winner will receive a full "three-night trip to San Diego Comic Con" from July 19–22. This lens by CyreneQ created a Superman-themed portal that you can walk through, and is perhaps an early front-runner to win it all.Unlock the Comic Book Portal lens on Snapchat right now
3. EarthquakeThis lens by OOPS CAPS is possibly the coolest one I've ever seen, and it's really easy to use considering how complicated it is. All you need to do is draw a line where you want to create a virtual fault line in the earth, then tap the ground to start a earthquake that will split the ground — at least on your phone.Unlock the Earthquake lens on Snapchat right now
4. The SimsIf you yearn for the days of controlling a virtual family, this lens by Iggy Pacanowski is great for turning yourself into a Sim. The head tracking is really good with this one, so good that you too will be speaking gibberish and lighting your house on fire in no time.Unlock the Sims Symbol lens on Snapchat right now
5. ChickenThis Chicken lens (also by Iggy Pacanowski) is one that superimposes a lifelike AR chicken onto the ground. Trace a path for it with your finger, and the chicken will run along it. My one criticism is that the chicken moves a bit quickly, and the still one is much more believable. Still a great effort, though.Unlock the Chicken lens on Snapchat right now Hopefully you enjoyed all of these lenses, but be sure to let me know in the comments below if you think I missed out on any.
